“Where is my order?” It is the email every store owner dreads, and the shipping email is sitting unread in a promotions tab. A text gets read. Usually within minutes.

WP EasyCart PRO connects to the Text Messaging cloud service. Texts go out through WP EasyCart’s own service, so there is no texting account to open and no API keys to paste. Connect the service to your store from your account, then open Order text notifications and write your messages.

Each message has a trigger. On Order Status Update can fire on every status or on one, such as Shipped. On Shipping Tracking Update fires the moment a carrier and tracking number are saved. There are ten in all, from a welcome text to address and line item changes. Drop in dynamic values and the text fills itself: “Order {order_id} is on its way with {shipping_carrier}, tracking {tracking_number}.”

Shoppers opt in on the order confirmation page. The Order Updates box asks for a mobile number with the right country code, and one tap on Get Shipping Updates by Text signs them up. Taking a phone order? Add the number yourself from the Text Notifications box on the order. Every text sent is logged in the order’s history with the carrier’s send status, so “I never got it” has an answer.

It is the same plugin that takes the payment, quotes the shipping and sends the receipt. One system, one order screen, now with texts.
